Audrey Lyon, Executive Director, is an attorney with extensive experience in housing and community development. Audrey has been Executive Director of Yachad for over 25 years, bringing comprehensive housing remediation work to hundreds of households and communities throughout the District of Columbia and surrounding communities. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and Chicago-Kent School of Law. [email protected]
Jennifer Sullivan is our Homeowner Services Coordinator. She is a former archivist and enjoys working with people and putting her organizational skills to good use. She has been working for Yachad since 2016. [email protected]
Matthew Flyer is our Construction Manager, providing inspection, project supervision and management skills to all of our projects.
ASTHMA HOME VISITING PROGRAM
Janet Phoenix, M.D., M.P.H, MS is the Asthma Home Visiting Program Manager. Dr. Phoenix, a physician by training, is an Assistant Research Professor in the Departments of Health Policy and Management in the Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University in Washington, DC. Dr. Phoenix managed the National Lead Information Center, a clearinghouse and training center jointly supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). She worked with the US Agency for International Development in their efforts to phase out the use of leaded gasoline. She served on the CDC Lead Poisoning Advisory Committee and on the EPA’s Children’s Health Protection Advisory Committee. She chairs the DC Asthma Coalition, a coalition of District agencies, including the DC Department of Health and Children’s National Medical Center. She is a founding member of the DC Healthy Housing Collaborative, a Coalition of District agencies and organizations whose mission and vision are healthy and affordable housing for all District residents.
Derrick Faison, Community Health Worker, has been involved in community health projects serving the Washington, DC Metro Area for more than 10 years. He currently conducts home assessments for families with children who have asthma and delivers necessary remediation supports to alleviate asthma triggers in the home. Derrick also enjoys group exercise instruction and providing personal training for residents in his community.
