"When a colleague of mine introduced me to Yachad and its work, I recognized people on Yachad's board that I had worked with in my earliest days at HUD. The path is people... Success is not about making money, but about making relationships, going outside of ourselves and crossing boundaries"
- George Brown, President, Far SW/SE Community Development Corp
"Our alliance with the Jewish community and Yachad underscores our common interest to build a strong and vital city for everyone. The prophet Isaiah proclaimed that the Jewish people would rebuild what has long been in ruins, building again on the old foundations. Thank you for honoring that prophecy with us."
- Joseph Daniels, Jr., Pastor, Emory United Methodist Church
The Faith to Faith Community Development Program brings together minority churches and Jewish real estate professionals to work side by side developing plans and restoring properties. Yachad's Faith to Faith church partners take the lead in creating affordable housing for families, delivering support services, and developing commercial amenities for neighborhood residents.
Yachad calls on skilled Jewish professionals - architects, builders, attorneys, and contractors - to initially donate their time to assist with all phases of development, offering a full range of hands-on technical assistance to help small start-up to medium non-profit developers build skills to take on challenging projects.
