What is the Our City Film Festival? Our City is a film festival started by Yachad to encourage pride in Washington, D.C. through films. The film festival features documentaries and narratives that take place in or are about Washington, D.C. D.C. is more than just politicos, monuments, and traffic and the Our City Film Festival is out to proove it!

What are the guidelines for film submissions? Film submissions must fit in at least one of the following categories:
**Native Washingtonian is someone who was born and raised (for more than 4 years) within city lines. Must supply proof of residency-ie. driver’s license, birth certificate, etc. |
What are the submission deadlines for 2011's festival? Early Submission Deadline: 9/1/10 Regular Submission Deadline: 11/1/10

What is the cost of submitting a film? (subject to change for 2011)
Submission fees are non-refundable and will not be returned to sender

What were the prizes for winning the film festival in 2010? Best Mini Documentary-$100 Best Short Documentary-$200 Best Short Narrative-$200 Best Documentary Outside of DC-$200 Note: Not all categories will be awarded.

What are the categories for film submissions? Choose a genre and a topic. Genre of Film (limited to at least one): Documentary Narrative Animation Experimental/Art Topic of Film (not limited to one or any): Political Drama Comedy Music Video African American Focused Jewish Focused Activism/Volunteerism
