"New to Yachad Day" Team
Led by Richard Feldman
This house was open to anyone new to Yachad or unaffiliated with a synagogue. The home in Southeast, D.C. was completely repainted thanks to the team of volunteers and the homeowner and her daughter, Marqeeda (pictured below). One of the volunteers said, after having a fantastic time helping out,
"This was a unique experience for me. It didn't feel like charity because the homeowners were there helping. It was a true community experience, like we were helping a friend."

The Real Estate Affinity, Jewish Federation of Greater Washington Team
Led by Greg Schofer, Jeff Distenfeld, Paul Schweitzer, Garrett Stackman and Scott Siegel
Quite possibly the largest turn around house this year-The Real Estate Affinity Group, Maggio Roofing and loads of help from Birthright Israel Alumni volunteers-came together and put in more than 25,000 dollars of work in to this large Northwest family house. Mother, father and six children will now be able to live in a working home again after living in a home that was only half way renovated for so long.

Adat Shalom Team
Led by David Dolinsky and Alan Kanner
This small two bedroom house is called home by eight family members. The Adat Shalom team came in to do major repairs through out the house including installing a brand new kitchen, insulating the basement where many family members sleep, and repairing the back deck and fence. The family helped out and it was a fantastic day.
Special professional assistance donated by JKJ Electric, Pipeworks Plumbing, and Reico Kitchen and Bath, and Added Dimensions.

Thanks to the help of all of the volunteers from both synagogues, this house's exterior was completely repainted, landscaping was redone and the inside of the house was also painted. The homeowner, was thrilled and a good time was had by all.
